Basically we don't need RM97 million. To start a life we only need RM16 million.
- RM4 million for each of us; Lizzie, you and me for our Money Tree
- The other RM4 million is for us to buy house, car and extra cash in case of emergency
We buy the house next door and do it up. Basically the place to be is Bandar Utama. This is the White Space.
So we do up the house real nicely. The house is selling for RM1.2 million. We need another RM400k to do up the house.
Once we finish with the house, I will spend a bit more doing my house. The whole thing will take probably 2 years. Or we can do it simultaneously. Turning the two houses into one. Again, this is a vision. The extra piece of land at the back and front, we pave. Otherwise the cats will shit on the yard.
Two houses turned into one is very appealing. I hope Lizzie is agreeable to the idea. Then we all stay in one roof. No Els, no Kristina. It's just us.
By combining the two houses, we can have a bigger kitchen, bigger dining, and a laundry area. We will have a big TV room (my study room combined with the room next door), two living rooms and a combined porch.
We still have 6 rooms upstairs. One room each for the kids, 2 master bedrooms, an ironing/storage room and Lizzie's study room. We can use one of the living rooms as our study area.
We can extend the rear of the house making the rooms and the kitchen really spacious.
Then we cover the open space with a roof for hanging clothes.
I have an architect friend who can also project manage the whole thing.
------------------
As for the car, just drive a 1,000 cc Perodua Axia.
Most of the time we will go around the 10 km radius. Once or twice a year we take a vacation. We can always rent an apartment. No need to buy any other property.
I just realized that with money, any place is home sweet home. However what counts is the access to facilities. We have quite a number of parks here. Personally I think Lembah Kiara and Bukit Kiara is sufficient. Other places we can visit during our vacations.
What counts is a place that we can exercise every day. For me BU2 Park is sufficient enough. Either that, 5 minutes walking distance is the Central Park:
If you like going to the gym, we can opt for a membership that allow us to go to various gyms within the MRT route.
Don't worry of not having a facility to exercise. There's plenty of options. We are at the heart of action here. That's why this place is called Bandar Utama (Main City). During peak hours going out and coming in to this place is a problem. But for us who are in the inside, this is like an oasis.
Do you like the idea honey? Well, like I said, its a vision.
This is a better vision than the vision that I had with the house in Medina.
With this vision I am already familiar with the surrounding. Plus, it doesn't take much money.
Medina is nice but Bandar Utama is quite central as far as malls and transportation is concern. All you need to do is be friends with Lizzie and the kids.
Personally I like going to the gym. I like the spin class.
---------------------
So our life is pretty much aligned to the activities we do within our parameter. This is a good place to be in if you like urban living without the hustle and bustle of a big city. You know me. My world is my 10 km radius. With money, I will extend a bit by going out at a better eating places and the various gyms. Occasionally we go on vacations. Nothing complicated.
The house must be comfortable.
-----------------------
You don't like the story?
It's a tall order.
So if we cannot even get a single cent, we stay put.
Nobody says we cannot have a vision...
I gotta sleep. You are pretty quiet tonight. I am running out of things to say.
