>>>#23/2/20 Dealing with complexity

You may realize that in many occasions, I wanted to simplify my situation.  This is because all the while I had dealt with very complex issues.  Often times these issues are not necessary for us to get on with living our lives.  They are normally complexities that comes as questions.

Therefore the more complex the questions we have about life, the more complex is our thinking.  That doesn't mean that our lives are more complex.  It's the thinking that makes it so.

Brb... Lunch.

In order for my life to be simple then is to simplify my thoughts.  Thus in  order to do so, I need to simplify my questions.  It doesn't mean that when I simplify my questions, they become less quality.  It just means that things that I focus on will be less complex.

In pursuing simplicity, I will then deal with simple but quality questions.  What then constitutes simple questions?  These are questions that have definitive answers to it.  In this case clarity equals simplicity.

So I will not deal with ambiguous questions.  Normally these are the questions that fall within the point of paradox.  In those cases I will park the questions under KIV.

Hence there are questions that I will no longer look for answers.  Things like:

  • Is there a God?
  • What happen after we die?
  • Is Sarah for real?
  • What will happen after I am 77?
For all these questions I just form my own conclusions and I move on from there.

What are the more pertinent questions then?

I should be focusing on questions that empower me.  Things like:
  • How do I stop the Bipolar from recurring?
  • What do I eat in order to lose 30 kg?
  • Why can't I have the motivation to exercise in the morning?
  • How do I remain healthy?
These are simpler but more relevant questions for me to get on with my life.

Be mindful that we become what we think about.  Therefore if I want to keep it small and simple.  I have to focus on intrinsic matters.  External Affairs do not contribute to my overall well-being.
