Let me compare them side by side:
Nope... I think I'll go with the Promaster I just spend extra RM360. Good enough is good enough.
It's a done deal. I sold the SNE107 for RM500. The Casio Military can wait until the Tough Solar battery dies.
----------------
I decided to sell of my Tough Solar for RM89 and get a newer version:
I am fully satisfied with this decision.
-------------------
Today is Princess 29th birthday. So we are having a special Korean luncheon.
--------------------
Patience is a virtue. The choice now is either to spend RM360 or to save RM500. If I buy the Casio Military, I only use RM144 of my February allowance for the watch and I save RM500. I think I'll do that and close the case. The Promaster is not within my range. Unless I spend RM500 + RM 200 and add RM160 from my reserve.
It's a choice if either down by RM160 or plus by RM500 and still get a watch.
-----------------
I spoke to Lizzie and she insisted that I get the Promaster. She said I got plenty of the cheap watches. After all I need to be satisfied with my purchase. Otherwise I will not stop buying.
So I stick with the idea that I own a Submariner homage and a Seamaster Planet Ocean Chronograph homage:
At least now I got 2 fancy watches.
I decided not to sell the Tough Solar. That is my oldest and my most favorite watch. There is no reason to get rid it. If I cannot save RM500, then I should save at least RM50.
Nevertheless I will keep the advertisement running. Normally if there is a response it will be in the next 24 hours. Otherwise nobody is biting.
The Seiko SNE107 was the first caller and the only caller, within 1 day.
Imagine Sarah, if I am as rich as Munek, I probably end up spending on the Submariner and the Seamaster. That will be a very stupid mistake. At least here I do my level best to mitigate my risk by buying the entry level watches.
Now all VARIATIONS got at least a stopwatch in the pair.
----------------------
There is no end to more or more expensive. It is a conscious effort on my part to stop buying. With this latest development I now close my book on indulgence.
Maybe just a bit if I ever sell the Tough Solar.
Finally I decided to delete the advertisement and keep the Tough Solar. It has a history. I'll keep it for the next 15 years.
---------------------
So enough is enough as far as watches is concerned. Here are the VARIATIONS AGAIN:
1. The ARMY VARIATION
The Admiral
Colonel
2. The COVERT MISSION VARIATION
Cyborg
Garmin 25
3. The SPECIAL OPS VARIATION
The Indulgence
Mudman
4. The CITIZEN SOLDIER VARIATION
The Scientist
Rasta
Three multi-brands and five Casio G-Shock.
That's all that I need. I cannot add without upsetting the equilibrium. This is perfect. I also had reset the watches to the Atomic Clock. That is one of the satisfying activity in my life.
I am all set for the next 15 years at least. No more looking at watches except my own. These are high grade watches. They should last that long. The only exception is maybe the Garmin. Yes, if I ever going to upgrade, that is the Garmin. I don't need a running watch right now. For the sake of it let say I'll upgrade the Garmin later on. It all depends on how enthusiastic is my running.
Garmin 35
There will be a permanent slot for a GPS watch there.
